This 7-week course is the ultimate clay experience, designed for those who want to explore every corner of ceramic arts. Whether you are a total beginner or a seasoned maker looking to refine your skills, we offer a flexible path to suit your creative vision. The Power of Choice (No Pressure!) Forget the pressure of choosing a "major" at registration. During your first session, we’ll consult with you to help you define your path. Whether you want to master the wheel, explore sculptural handbuilding, or enjoy a hybrid of both, our curriculum adapts to you as you grow. The Wheel Path: Dedicate your 7 weeks to the captivating world of wheel throwing. Master the fundamentals of centering, opening, and pulling to create functional vessels like mugs, bowls, and cylinders. The Handbuilding Path: Focus entirely on "off-wheel" techniques. Explore the creative freedom of pinching, coiling, and slab construction to create everything from delicate jewelry to complex sculptural planters. The Hybrid Path: The best of both worlds! This path offers a balanced foundation, combining structured instruction on the wheel with the organic, tactile play of handbuilding. What’s Included We believe in focusing on creativity, not logistics. Your registration includes: 21 Hours of Instruction: Seven 3-hour classes brimming with personalized guidance from our expert instructors. Materials & Firings: One bag of M340 clay, all tools, underglazes, and studio dipping glazes. All firings are included in your tuition. Unlimited Practice: Enjoy unlimited open studio time outside of class hours to build muscle memory and perfect your projects. Stress-Free Scheduling: Missed a class? No problem. Make-up sessions are available during open studio hours. Premium Finishes: A large selection of professional Amaco and Mayco brush-on glazes are available for a small additional fee. Registration Details This course is a vibrant community experience open to adults and creative teens: Ages 16+: May attend independently. We look forward to see you in the studio! Please note that Courses, and Events are generally non refundable, however we understand that there are sometimes situations out of your control that may arise. Please reach out should you have any questions or concerns. If you are going to miss a class, please contact Erin to discuss using the Open Studio time to make up your missed class ( there may also be room in another class). We bisque fire and glaze fire when the shelves are full this means you may have pieces that are ready for glazing throughout the 7 weeks, we will show you how to glaze at any point throughout the 7 weeks. If you are continuing on into the next course after this one you may keep throwing, trimming and glazing as your pieces are ready. If you are not continuing on all of your pieces must be on the drying shelf by the end of your 6th class to ensure they are ready for glazing on the 7th class.
